Responding to reviews

Responses allow stores to reply to product reviews written by customers. This is useful to foster a sense of community by ensuring that customer feedback is acknowledged.

To respond to a product review, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Content > Reviews and select the review you would like to write a response

  2. Select the Responses tab and then select the Add Response option

  3. The Add Response dialog will appear. Enter the following details:

    • Text - Write your product review response in this text field. The content you write in this field will become public.
  4. Click Save to save your response. Depending on your user permissions, the response may require approval before it’s published.

Note: When a response is approved it is visible publicly.

Moderating Responses

To moderate an existing product review response, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Content > Reviews and then select the Responses tab

  2. To find all responses requiring moderation, select the Pending or Flagged tab

  3. Select the review you would like to moderate

  4. To approve or disapprove the response, click the More Options Icon. Select one of the following options:

    • Edit - This option allows you to change the text of an existing response.
    • Delete - This option deletes the response permanently.
    • Approve - This option approves the response. After it’s approved, it’s visible publicly.
    • Disapprove - The response is not approved and will not become publicly visible.
    • Ignore Flagging - This option turns off the ability for users to flag the response as inappropriate.
IconMeaning
This icon is the More Options Icon. When this icon is clicked, it displays additional available actions.
