Fulfilling orders

Orders can be fulfilled in one shipment or can be fulfilled partially meaning only a few items in an order are shipped. It’s possible to also fulfill orders from multiple locations.

To fulfill all items in an order, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Orders > Orders

  2. Select the order from the orders table or search for the specific order using the search. For instance, you may want to select an order with a payment status of paid and fulfillment status of unfulfilled.

  3. Select Fulfill Order

  4. The Create New Fulfillment dialog appears. Enter the following details, if necessary:

    • Carrier – refers to the shipping company for order delivery. Select the carrier from the dropdown list. Select Manual, if your carrier is not listed.
    • Tracking Number – refers to a unique tracking identifier for the shipment.
    • Tracking URL – refers to the unique URL for the customer to track the shipment with the carrier.
  5. Ensure the Quantity and Location for each line item is correct. For partial fulfillments, the quantity field will need to be adjusted to the desired quantity. You can optionally choose to override the inventory location if you are shipping from a location that the system did not allocate the order to automatically.

  6. Select the Send notification email to customer option if you would like your customer to receive a shipping confirmation email.

  7. Select Save to save the fulfillment.
