Fraud

Lana checks orders placed in your store with a machine-learning algorithm to detect possible high risk or suspicious orders. You can choose to be notified when a possible high-risk order is placed using the Warning Threshold, or alternatively cancel the order automatically using the Cancel Threshold.

You can set your desired level of risk for fraudulent transactions. If the Warning Threshold is activated, all orders that go beyond your risk level will be deemed suspicious or fraudulent, in which case, a notification will be sent to your email. You can also set the Order Cancel Threshold to automatically cancel high-risk orders above the threshold.

It is important to keep in mind that fraud detection algorithms are not perfect. Some safe orders may be flagged as suspicious (often called a false positive). Inversely, some bad orders may be marked as safe (false negative). Always check orders for potential risks when processing orders.

To access the Fraud page, select Settings from the side menu, and Fraud from the Settings menu.
