In Clay, a product description can be divided into sections to enhance its rich text capabilities. This is made possible using the "separator" block:
The implementation of the separator block divides the rich text content into multiple sections. By default, the first section is titled "Description". Subsequent sections don't have default titles. However, the title of each section can be specifically assigned by using a "header" block (H1, H2, or H3) as the first block of the section.
Once the description is structured in this manner, Clay will display these sections as elements of an accordion-style user interface:
Furthermore, you can establish a shared content block (config field productPageContentBlockHandle
) and append zero or more sections through its rich text description. These sections from the shared content block will be added to the accordion element of every product page. This feature is particularly handy if there is common information about your store's products that needs to be provided.
